Privacy

1. Information Processed

HideSeen reads webpage content and recognizes clicked content links on sites where the extension is enabled, to hide or mark that content when it appears again. Page content is processed on your device and is not sent to the developer.

Saved history contains URLs of clicked content, site names, and timestamps. History, Allowlist entries, and preferences are stored locally to provide these features.

2. Storage and Sharing

The app and its Safari extension share settings and saved history through an App Group on your device. HideSeen does not send this data to developer servers, and does not include advertising or analytics services.

3. Backups

Import and Export run only when you request them. Exported files include saved history and settings. You choose where to save or share them; copies are then handled by the destination you select. Device and browser backups may also retain local data according to your system settings.

4. Retention and Your Controls

Saved history is limited to 2,000 content links overall and 500 per site; older links are removed as these limits are reached. Use Clear all history in Data to delete saved history. You can remove Allowlist entries, disable the extension, or revoke website access in Safari settings. Other settings remain in local storage until changed or removed. Exported files and system backups must be managed separately.

5. Contact and External Services

If you email support, your email address and the information you choose to send are used to respond to your request. Avoid sending sensitive browsing data. Contact us to request deletion of support correspondence, subject to any legally required retention.

Opening the X link or using an email service is subject to that service's privacy policy. HideSeen does not send saved app data automatically when you open these links.

6. Policy Updates

Updated versions of this policy will be available here with a revised update date. For privacy questions, contact [email protected].
